Holiday Little Black Dress

If there is one no-fail holiday style option, it’s the classic and timeless Little Black Dress.

The holiday season sets in motion a big flurry of celebration. Invitations start pouring in and going out. You have places to be and parties to host. In the middle of pulling off the best dinner nights, you may not get the chance to spend hours putting together an outfit worthy of you. Thankfully, Coco Chanel took care of that back in the 1920s with the Little Black Dress she popularized.

LDB is one dress that’s super chic, versatile, and doesn’t take a decade to style. It’s perfect for a holiday party and if you ask me, sexier than any other option. It’s like a secret weapon to looking absolutely fabulous. I got mine quite a while back but only got to wear it this holiday season. And I am proud to report that it looked Drop.Dead.Gorgeous.

I love most little black dresses but this one received some extra love thanks to its stunning back. It has a knot style twist on the back making it even sexier than it already is. The length is just right and the fabric oh-so-soft.

Styling my Little Black Dress was a breeze. I didn’t have to bury myself in the closet to mix and match or get frustrated over not finding the right kind of shoes to go with it. My holiday look was already (almost) complete the moment I slipped into it. All I had to do was take out my favorite knee-high heeled boots and voila! I was festivities-ready.

The final and the most necessary last touch to my holiday look was my black Chanel bag. It’s a quintessential flip bag with a quilted design all over and a leather and chain-link strap. It perfectly pulled together my whole look without the need of any other accessories.

White Holiday Dress with a Pop of Red

I can understand the urge to dress up a little extra for the holiday season! After all, it’s not every day you get an excuse to go all out but take it from me, a simple white holiday dress will work wonders! The right dress with the perfect cut is all you really need to brighten up your day and make holiday festivities extra special.

I went with a gorgeous maxi dress as it offers the perfect balance of warmth and flow. I decided to complement it with a red bag to bring contrast and pay homage to the holiday season’s vibrant colors. White truly captures my presence and radiates a powerful aura. I would like to believe that it invites positivity and cultivates perfection. White also makes a strong feminine fashion statement for confident women. Pairing white with a red bag was a conscious decision to welcome in some happy energy. Red also carries strong symbolic value for me and helps incorporate love and joy into my life.

This knit top and flowing skirt pair-up gave me a form-fitting dress that hugs my waist but flares up below it. Fit and flare dresses are universally flattering and are a comfortable reprieve from the demands of high-end fashion. Someone once told me that to look good, you must be prepared to sacrifice a little comfort, in fact, they insisted on a little pain being worth the effort. My holiday dress is my answer to them – a dress that pairs comfort and fashion seamlessly together. This chic and trendy ensemble is dipped in elegance from head to toe and forever proves that less is always more.

I completed the look with elegant ivory heels that go beautifully with the white holiday dress. I have worn these heels with multiple outfits and each time, they spark joy in me like the first time. Yes, I love these shoes and by now, my love for them is probably self-evident.

Holiday Pop of Red

I love getting dressed up for the holidays and this year I decided to go with a winter white look and a pop of red! I wanted the red bag to be the center of this look and it definitely makes me feel festive with Christmas around the corner. We found this adorable vintage truck parked outside an antique strip mall and it made the cutest background for these holiday photos. While in the area we were also able to take a couples picture together. For this look I paired a cozy puff shoulder sweater with white jeans and matching heels and then a patent Chanel mini rectangular bag. I also added a cute script hair barrette as the final touch. I just love how perfectly the bag goes with the holly berries.

The holidays are a fun time of year and you shouldn’t be stressing out what to get your friends and family. I love a good secret Santa exchange, especially amongst your friends so I can up with this guide of some cute and useful ideas they might actually enjoy. Since most exchanges usually put a price cap on the gift. I chose to keep all of them around the $30 price range.
