Pink Ombre Silk Cami Styled

We have all been there. Impulse purchases and casual pick-me-ups getting the best of us. But some pieces are so good that you take a glance and instinctively start imagining yourself rocking them. Nothing feels right until you have them exactly where they belong: in your closet. This beautiful silk cami was one such piece for me.

Summer’s heating up and if you’re someone like me, you know the struggle of hunting pieces that are breathable and cute at the same time. Lucky for me, I spotted this pink ombre silk cami that had my heart right away. Its watercolor tons melting into the sandwash charmeuse fabric reminded me of many things. Of pale pink sunsets and orange roses. But most significantly, of carefree summer fun.

I got it from Cami NYC and loved it for its playful and peppy look. The silk fabric is soft against the skin and feels incredibly luxurious. The best part is that it has adjustable straps making it super easy to manage. With all its perks, it definitely qualifies as one of those statement pieces that you can re-style again and again, and treasure for a long time. 

I styled the cami with white high-waisted tie shorts since I was going for a breezy and relaxed look perfect for going out and about in the heat. The thing about camis is that they’re probably one of the most versatile pieces in your wardrobe. There are no rules set in stone when it comes to styling them (well, maybe some). They’re inherently sexy and bring out your feminine side. So, what other options do you have?

You can style this silk cami with skinny jeans, a pencil or a midi skirt, and even a pair of wide-legged pants. You can also use it as a layering piece. Throw on a cool jacket, a cardigan, or a coat to instantly elevate your look from casual to dressy. The options are limitless and it’s a brand new look every time.

To complete my look, I went with light jewelry and a beige Channel flap bag. The whole look turned out to be a perfect cocktail of understated glamor and laid-back style. Precisely what I was going for. You can, of course, opt for the accessories that create the mood you want. Delicate chains and pendants go perfectly with camis. So do dainty bracelets and rings.
